My Courageous Pumpkins

Is it possible for me to grow further in love with these little guys?

I really didn't think so... seeing as how I almost lose my breath thinking about how much I love them....

But then you see baby blues like these.....

And precious little grins like that....

And your love cup just can't help but run over!

Once again, thanks to the wonderful Crystal Garcia I have precious moments frozen in time.  There is nothing like a pair of toe-headed children in royal blue shirts against bright orange pumpkins.  Not to mention, the boys absolutely run themselves silly every year we attend the Pumpkin Patch at the Townsend House.  It's almost like a magical pumpkin kingdom as the boys dart and hide between pumpkins.  Pick-up and observe the intricacies of the small ones. And of course, like most boys will do, try to pick-up the largest one they can find...and then throw it.

These Boys are Our Lives.

Nick and I went to see Courageous recently.  As our minds and hearts tried to keep up with the roller coaster of emotions that flood you, the message shook me to the core-- Fight For Your Family.  No matter what happens, be courageous, and fight to keep your family centered around God.  The story centers around 5different men and their struggle to  maintain a household centered around God while the fears, trials, and pressures of the world and the enemy try to beat them, their children, and their wives down.  While it did focus mainly on men/husbands, I found it extremely applicable to me as a wife/mother-- While our earthly fathers may or may not have let us down, we have been given an unbelievable privilege and strength from our Heavenly Father to break that cycle-- We can be good earthly parents no matter what has happened to us before.  We are accountable to God for the way we raise our children and I really don't want to let Him down. I recommend anyone, in any stage of life, go see this movie.  It brought about some healing in me as well as inspiration to keep the reigns on my family tight and centered around the Father that promises to never leave or forsake us.
