Y'all.
I had one of the best weekends.
My mom, sister Lindsey, her friend Allison, and Mom's best friend Mrs. Freida, headed to Houston after lunch on Friday to hear Beth Moore.
All I knew was that I had to recite some of my verses that I memorized, but what I did not know was the amazing word I would hear. And y'all. Did we hear it or what!?!?
Beth memorized the entire chapter of 2nd John. It's about 14 verses. The gist of the passage is about WALKING and abiding in the love of our Heavenly Father. Don't ever try to get ahead of God or be disobedient and not adhere to what He is trying to tell you-- Simply, abide in His word and walk with Him daily. Also (my favorite part) take back...and I mean...TAKE IT ALL BACK...the ground the enemy has tried to steal from us. I have fallen victim to his deceitfulness in friendships, my marriage, work, parenting...all of it. And God tells us, YOU TAKE IT BACK! My favorite verse from the weekend was one out of Psalms-
"Through YOU we push back our enemies, through YOUR name we trample our foes!" Psalm 44:5
And don't you worry, I am taking it all back.
Besides hearing an incredible teaching from Beth Moore (whom I adore to no-end) we got to get our praise on with Travis Cottrell and his worship team. That was simply amazing. I also got to share in some much needed girl time with 4 other precious women. I also got to meet Amanda Moore Jones and BooMama. Amanda, Beth's daughter, was precious and we have a mutual friend. BooMama was sweet as pie and as funny in person as her writing is on her blog. We stayed at the Omni which is beautiful and was located next to Memorial Park. I was able to get in my long run there on Saturday morning. It was great seeing new sites. The only bad thing was that it went by way too fast!

Beth Moore...I could have jumped in her lap if I wanted to. And boy did I want to! She is just amazing.
I came home to a steak dinner from Nick, 2 sweet baby faces, folded clothes, and a picked-up playroom. I may or may not have specifically prayed from this while I was gone. Such a wonderful, thoughtful surprise. Thank you and Amen.
