I have heard an assortment of comments about being pregnant with my third child. It's been interesting--
"Better you than me."
"Well now you are out-numbered."
"You finally get your girl!"
"Better end on an even number and get ready for number 4!"
And amongst the variety of input people decide to give me, I rest solely on what I know to be true--
I am over-the-moon, make-my-heart-hurt, so incredibly blessed and excited that I can't hardly stand it.
Got it? Good.
It is a combination of factors, really, that have led to this giddiness...
First and FOREMOST--
This Guy.
I love him so much I can't hardly stand it.
Is it rainbows and butterflies everyday? Absolutely not. It is work some days. But there is a love so deep, a respect so wide, and a history so firm, that I know I can pretty much walk through any type of adventure with this man and come out a better person on the end. And guess what? He gets to be a Daddy to a little girl! Oh my goodness, that excites me about just as much as all the cute frilly outfits...
No, really. It thrills me to know that our little girl gets to experience being a daughter to this Daddy- 'cause he is one heck of a Dad.
We got to celebrate being husband and wife for the 6th time this past weekend...
Superior Steakhouse's Piano Bar greeted us for dinner, conversation, music, and the BEST for last-- DESSERT! Wasn't this so sweet of them? It was delicious too.
We got a night away thanks to some very sweet family members and enjoyed every second of our dinner together, our stay at the Boardwalk, and wait for it....CHRISTMAS SHOPPING! That's right- We are almost finished! I don't know about you- but fighting cranky crowds 8/9 months pregnant sounds about as appealing as sticking hot pokers in my eyes so we decided to knock most of it out now. Plus, this way, we can really enjoy soaking up time with friends and family and actually looking at presents under our tree.
It was a great evening.
And then a very close second- These Little Guys...
We finished up Saturday with a chilly but great football game at Joe Aillet--
The boys were troopers! Ms. Susan and I actually had a pretty pleasant experience until Daddy showed up and we lost our leg warmers AKA Jackson and Austin-- It was fun.
Also, this past weekend my closest girlfriends and family members gathered for a sweet shower for sweet Emmaline and it was such a sweet time.
I never knew the different shades of pink could impact a person's emotions so much....
Which brings me to number THREE-
Pink, frilly outfits....
It is so FUN!
God has really REALLY blessed me with an incredible group of friends (NUMBER FOUR)- And what I love most about these girls is their willingness to walk through any type of obstacle life brings. They are definitely not the "faint of hearts" friends. They stick it through the good, the bad, and the ugly.
And our little group is growing....
How AWESOME is that?!
And finally, the point of this whole post- This Little Girl...
(This is a very blurry shot of the front of her face)
I haven't even met her yet, but I already miss her...not sure how this is possible, but I long to hold her, kiss her, and smell her!
As of last Friday, the doctor said she was probably around 3 pounds, still breech (boo!), my blood pressure was up a little bit, but she looked great! I talked him into a sneak peak with the handheld ultrasound machine and got this little shot. It was precious seeing her little face yawning- We have yet to get a good profile shot on the big ultrasound machine! Can't wait until the next one.
We are just so excited about the upcoming arrival of Miss Emmaline Harper- God is so good.

Happy {late} Anniversary!
